We are all teachers. We are all learners.
We are all artists. We are all aging.
Creative Aging Maine cultivates creativity, connection, and lifelong learning through the arts.
Creative Aging Maine is a statewide initiative of the Maine Arts Commission in partnership with the Maine Council on Aging that engages older people in high-quality arts programs offered by trained teaching artists in the community.
The goals of the program are to build and strengthen skills and connection and to use creativity to explore, reflect on and share our rich life experiences.

Aging is a creative process. We are all aging, so we are all creative!
Purpose, belonging, and social connection are among the strongest contributors to health and well-being as we age.
Creative Aging programs offer a pathway to discovery, reflection, and even a catalyst for change in the way we view and experience aging and being old.
